UrbanARCH is an award-winning architecture and planning firm located in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. Our staff is comprised of experienced, dedicated, and talented professionals who aspire to serve the needs of our clients through budget minded, sustainable design consideration and effective project management. In everything we do, our most important measure of success is our client’s satisfaction.

Our firm is unique in that our wide range of experience allows us to adapt to virtually any architectural challenge regardless of building type, construction type, project size, or client makeup. Over our 20 years in business, we have completed hundreds of projects across the Southeastern US Region and beyond.

We think of architecture not as a single practice, but as several interlocking ones. Landscapes are inseparable from structures, ecology is inseparable from building requirements, and improving human relationships is the ultimate goal of any project. Aesthetic movements come and go, but we have found these principles to be timeless.

UrbanARCH has a broad base of experience in many project types including Civic, Aviation, Recreational, Educational, Industrial, Medical, Restaurant, Residential, Mixed-Use, and Retail.

Founded in 2002 by Mississippi State University graduates Brian Bullard and Stephen Skinner, UrbanARCH emerged from a partnership between two architects who met working at Memphis firms and decided to build something together. What began as a modest practice quickly gained traction, building lasting client relationships and earning the firm’s reputation across the Mid-South. Over the past 25 years, UrbanARCH has shaped the region’s landscape by transforming historic downtown buildings, designing modern medical facilities, and modernizing large-scale projects like the Memphis International Airport. The close-knit studio has moved through three spaces as it’s expanded, each time outgrowing the last. Now relocating to 156 G.E. Patterson, UrbanARCH continues to expand while staying rooted in the Memphis community by creating thoughtful work across the tri-state area, one project at a time.
