A 20-year vacant Art Deco building in South Main transformed into UrbanARCH’s award-winning studio space that preserves historic character while creating an expressive work environment.
Situated in Memphis’ historic South Main District, UrbanARCH converted this dilapidated building that had been unoccupied for nearly 20 years into a modern office space all while preserving the aesthetics of the existing Art Deco façade. Careful design consideration was given to even the smallest of details, creating an engaging and exciting workplace environment. This project was awarded the 2014 AIA Memphis Award of Excellence.
