The former Railgarten facility transformed into a family-focused community clubhouse with indoor and outdoor play areas and dining spaces.
Stomping Grounds transforms the former Railgarten facility in Memphis’ Cooper-Young neighborhood into a family-first community clubhouse. The 45,295 square foot renovation reimagines the beloved Midtown gathering space with an intentional focus on creating an environment where parents and children can thrive together. The project addresses Railgarten’s longstanding parking challenges by demolishing existing wood structures and play areas to create 50 additional parking spaces, while redirecting traffic flow to side streets for improved safety and accessibility.
Interior finish and lighting upgrades refresh the expansive space, which will house a restaurant, sports bar, and both indoor and outdoor play areas for children. New security fencing enhances safety throughout the property. The renovation preserves the open, communal atmosphere of the former Railgarten space to better serve families. Now, parents can relax with food and drinks while children play freely. Stomping Grounds envisions a community clubhouse designed for all families in Midtown and across the larger Memphis area.
