Taco Felix returns to its original Hernando, Mississippi location at 390 East Commerce Street with a new 3,338 square foot restaurant that replaces the previous structure. Part of a small regional chain of Mexican restaurants, this ground-up reconstruction establishes a stronger brand presence through expressive architectural elements and natural materials. The exterior features a composition of varied brick veneers, stone wall cladding, and corten steel accents. Intertwined with the exterior makeup of the building are wall-mounted trellises with vegetation frame the front patio area, softening the building’s street presence and creating an inviting outdoor dining atmosphere.
Beyond aesthetic improvements, the project enhances site functionality with increased parking capacity, improved traffic circulation, and thoughtful landscaping additions. Currently under construction, the new Taco Felix maintains the restaurant’s beloved menu and community presence while creating an efficient facility that better serves Hernando diners. The design balances architectural expression with the warmth and accessibility expected from a neighborhood Mexican restaurant.
