Two new buildings at TCAT Jackson providing truck driving training facilities and multipurpose event space for technical education and campus life.
The TCAT Jackson Truck Driving Center expands the Tennessee College of Applied Technology’s Jackson campus with two new single-story buildings totaling 8,766 square feet. The project consists of a 4,490 square foot truck driving facility and a 4,276 square foot multipurpose building, each designed to support distinct campus functions. Both steel-framed structures feature brick veneer and metal panel cladding that complement the existing campus aesthetic while providing durable, low-maintenance exteriors.
The truck driving facility houses classrooms, business offices, and technical training rooms dedicated to one of TCAT’s most popular programs, preparing students for careers in the commercial transportation industry. The multipurpose building features a flexible event space, with supporting service areas, that is surrounded by a landscaped site that enhances the campus environment. Currently under construction, this expansion strengthens TCAT Jackson’s capacity to deliver hands-on technical education while hosting a space for the lifestyle of the students on campus.
