TCAT Whiteville expands its technical education facilities with two new single-story buildings totaling 4,500 square feet, designed to support the campus’s Farming Operations and Technology program. The 2,000 square foot and 2,500 square foot structures each house a shop for farm operations, laydown yards, and pole barns. Alongside this, the spaces include office areas, covered parking, and storage. The buildings feature metal panel and brick as their exterior cladding system while utilizing concrete masonry units to provide the durability necessary for agricultural training environments.

Beyond the new construction, the project includes the renovation of an existing 1,500 square foot classroom for the Powerline and Maintenance program and a 2,100 square foot upgrade to the welding shop with improved utilities. Currently in design with construction anticipated to begin soon, this expansion strengthens TCAT Whiteville’s capacity to deliver hands-on technical training in agriculture, welding, and skilled trades that meet regional workforce demands.
